Rain or Shine
• Newhoma is a Rain and/or Shine event. Please be prepared for the natural elements in the Colo mountains- days can be warm, cool and wet within a short time period. The evenings will be cool (500 - 400), please bring warm clothes, pads or blankets.
Rules for your comfort and safety- All of the rules below are for your safety and will be
strictly enforced.
• No entry without festival ticket or reservation code, which you will receive via email.
• Please treat others and your environment with respect. Be responsible and lookout for all your fellow music-loving people.
• Yes, you can bring camp chairs (for sizing- allowing for no more than a basketball to fit underneath them). There we be a designated area, boundary for camp chairs. Please no camp chairs directly in front of the stage.
• No dogs or pets allowed.
• No open fires.
• No glass in the stage or main festival area.
• No outside alcohol is allowed into the festival.
• No outside food into the festival area, baby food is allowed.
• No entry without a festival ticket.
• No on-site camping allowed.
• No firearm, weapons or fireworks.
• No illegal drugs allowed.
• No unauthorized vending.
• No amplified music or generators in the parking lot.
• No filming.
• Please practice Leave No Trace.
• Do not leave your parking site or other areas a mess (Pack In, Pack Out). Trash receptacles and recycling bins will be on site, so please find and use them!
• Re-entry will be allowed with a stamp and festival ticket in hand, one per person.
• Please come prepared. Gates will open at 2:30pm on Saturday, August 20, music begins at 3:00pm and the festival will end at 9:45pm on Saturday, August 20.
• Please be considerate of the surrounding residents and businesses when departing the festival site and the parking lot.
Pets
• We love our furry friends, too, here at Newhoma. However, NO PETS WILL BE ALLOWED (strictly enforced)! We recommend any of the Camp Bows in Denver, Monument or Colorado Springs. Both Dexter and Pearl have spent incredibly, fun days and evening in several of their locations.
Camping
• Camping is available in both public and private campgrounds around Woodland Park, and along Hwy 67. It's often first-come, first-serve, so please get there early!
• Newhoma is a daytime and evening event in the middle of the mountains at 8,437 feet in elevation. Therefore, it is important for "YOU," to be prepared for Colorado Mountain camping.
• Please drink PLENTY of water.
Items to bring for comfort
•Below is a list of items that you should bring with you on your trip: tarp, raingear, Blanket/pad/camp chairs, sunscreen, umbrella and/or hat for shade, sunglasses, water container, or Trash Bags to assist with recycling.
•We (Newhoma, KRCC or WPAA) are NOT responsible for the loss of any valuables.
•Bring Earplugs, Pen and Paper for the many friends, memories, and setlists, extra set of keys, Vehicle Key code (in case you need to duplicate your lost key), small first aid kit.
Alcohol
• At the Beer/Wine Garden your ID will be checked and you will be given a separate wristband that will allow you to purchase craft beer ($??) or wine ($??). PLEASE KEEP YOUR CUPS!
Water
• Water, and water bottles and an assortment of drinks will be sold on-site; also there will be an abundance of potable water available to you free if you have a container to use.
Restrooms
• There are restrooms available in the basement of the UPCC and all festival-goers will have access to bathrooms, including an handicap accessible bathroom as well.
Safety
• To avoid injury and to have a fun, safe, exciting festival experience we advise you to read these tips.
Stay Hydrated
• Drink plenty of water.
Be Alert
• If you see yellow caution tape or orange safety fence there is likely a hazard, please avoid these areas.
• Please no fires or open flames (STRICTLY ENFORCED), the land can be very dry and gusty and fires can easily spread.
Medical
• There will be a first aid tent, and staffed EMTs onsite in case anyone is hurt or does not feel right in some way. If you or someone you know is hurt please notify a safety team member or volunteer and head to the first aid tent. For serious emergencies a life flight/ambulance will be called.
Parking
• Parking is free with the purchase of a festival ticket and is for the duration of the festival.
• Parking is also first come, first serve, so get there early. There will be very limited parking available, so please car pool.
• Parking will be off-site as well in a location away from the festival site.
• Speed limits are posted; please be advised of the appropriate speed on all roads. If you think that you are driving too fast, please slow down.
Children
• Children 12 and under are admitted free. Parents will be responsible for their children at all times during the festival.
